We know that not every author uses a literary agent nowadays, so perhaps reading Kristine Kathryn Rusch’s latest post about payment problems with agents won’t seem like a priority.

That said, even if you don’t have a traditional publisher who funnels your payments through an agent, the conclusion of Rusch’s battle plan is worth bookmarking for any financial dispute you might find yourself in.

To be specific: Rusch makes the case that at a certain point, your time (and your writing time, in particular) is worth more than your money.

She offers a formula for determining what that point is, for you, and shares a rebuttal for the argument that the principle of the matter is more important than your time.

Check out the financial horror stories and ways to fight back in her latest business musings blog.
