The National Book Foundation announced Friday that the events of National Book Week will go virtual this year.

And rather than taking place over just one week, the various award ceremonies will be spaced out across two months:

  • 5 Under 35, which recognizes emerging fiction writers, will take place October 20.

  • The National Book Awards Finalist Reading, including all twenty-five finalists’ books, will take place November 10.

  • And the 71st National Book Awards Ceremony will take place November 18.

But first, we'll save the date for the longlist announcements (September 16-18) and finalist reveal (October 6).
