Sunday marked the twenty-fifth anniversary of the release of the movie Clueless.

You might wonder why this is relevant to a bookish blog, and we have an answer: because it’s an update of Jane Austen’s Emma.

Literary Hub alerted us not to that fact, but to the fact that multiple film gurus believe Clueless to be the best Jane Austen film adaptation, believe it or not.
