A judge has issued a preliminary injunction against an ebook site in response to a lawsuit that Amazon, Penguin Random House, and several well-known authors filed in July.

Kiss Library, according to these publishers and writers, shared and sold copyrighted works without permission from their creators.

GeekWire reports that US District Court Judge Marsha Pechman on Thursday blocked Kiss Library and its associated sites to stop sharing material and also forbid it from destroying records related to the books in question.

No one from Kiss Library appeared in court, adds GeekWire.

The plaintiffs, among whom are bestsellers like John Grisham, R.L. Stine, Stuart Woods, and Lee Child, are also seeking the profits from any unauthorized sales.
