Dictionary.com has made significant changes to more than 15,000 entries.

The Guardian reports that the site, which calls itself the leading online dictionary, describes the move as its biggest ever update.

You may have guessed that among those changes is the use of “Black,” as well as making a separate entry for “Black” as it refers to a person (rather than having it grouped with other meanings and uses of the word).

Other changes aim to move away from clinical language, such as using “gay” instead of “homosexual,” or language that carries a perceived judgment, such as “person addicted to” instead of “addict.”

Dictionary.com also added 650 words in addition to those 15,000-plus updates.
