Two author groups have raised a few alerts to keep all writers safe.

The Watchdog Desk of the Alliance of Independent Authors recently became aware that Dog Ear Publishing, a company that it previously warned authors about, is now back in action under a new name: Bookplate Press.

Writer Beware, meanwhile, is receiving reports of major publishers being impersonated by scammers.
