Here's the 2020 longlist for the National Book Award for Poetry

The longlist for the National Book Award for Poetry came out today.

All of the poets on the list are first-time nominees, and two are debut collections.

Finalists will be announced October 6, and the winners will be revealed November 18.

• The Galleons, by Rick Barot.

• A Treatise on Stars, by Mei-mei Berssenbrugge.

• Travesty Generator, by Lillian-Yvonne Bertman.

• Fantasia for the Man in Blue, by Tommye Blount (debut collection).

• Obit, by Victoria Chang.

• DMZ Colony, by Don Mee Choi.

• Borderland Apocrypha, by Anthony Cody (debut collection).

• Guillotine, by Eduardo C. Corral.

• Postcolonial Love Poem, by Natalie Diaz.

• The Age of Phillis, by Honorée Fanonne Jeffers.
