The Swedish Academy, which awards the Nobel Prize in Literature, has filled two vacancies.
The new members, according to Reuters, are author and journalist Ingrid Carlberg and writer, critic and translator Steve Sem-Sandberg.
Vacancies arose after the husband of one Academy member was accused of sexual assault and harassment.
That member, along with others, resigned in the wake of the scandal, which also caused the Nobel in Literature to be delayed in 2018.
And, of course, the double announcement in 2019 made plenty of waves, given that one winner — Peter Handke, who technically received the 2019 prize — was widely criticized for his support of convicted war criminal Slobodan Milošević and denial of the Srebrenica genocide.
