Barack Obama will be joining this year’s virtual Booker Prize ceremony.
The former president, whose memoir’s release date prompted the event to switch days, will appear along with former winners Kazuo Ishiguro, Margaret Atwood, and Bernardine Evaristo, reports the Guardian.
A Promised Land comes out November 17 and is the first volume of at least two.
The Booker ceremony will take place November 19, with Obama talking about what reading Booker Prize novels has meant to him before the 2020 winner is revealed.
NPR has already reviewed A Promised Land and will interview the author next Monday.
