Introverted or shy authors may find it uncomfortable, difficult, or even impossible to promote their books.

They don’t have to beat themselves up over it, though.

Sandra Beckwith suggests several workarounds, instead.

For instance, don’t think of it as promoting yourself; think of it as promoting your book.

Or if talking in real time (be it in-person or virtually) is awkward, suggest alternatives that don’t require using your literal voice.
