It’s no secret that pre-existing fame makes it a cinch to find a book deal.
Some in the literary world, though, are a bit concerned about this trend — in particular, when it comes to children’s books — reports the Guardian.
They argue that it means less publicity energy, less shelf space, and fewer readers for lesser-known authors who deserve that same spotlight.
Others in the industry dismiss such concerns, saying that a rising tide can lift all boats.
