We’ve all chuckled at corporate jargon, but the effects of certain phrases on your author career are actually not funny.

John Doppler highlights seven phrases that indie authors should memorize — or, rather, whose real definitions they should be aware of.

While some of these expressions sound good, like “percent royalties” and “net profits,” they may wind up costing you hard-earned money.
