Last month, author Ottessa Moshfegh revealed that she was able to write a novel during the pandemic.

She only made us wait a few weeks to learn more about it.

Lapvona will come out in summer 2022; it’s set in a medieval fiefdom and stars a “crippled motherless son and his bitter shepherd father,” according to its publisher.

Moshfegh's debut novel, Eileen, was shortlisted for the National Book Critics Circle Award and the Man Booker Prize, and her two subsequent novels — My Year of Rest and Relaxation and Death in Her Hands — were New York Times bestsellers.
