We just finished listening to Dear Edward by Ann Napolitano, about a horrific plane crash that kills all but one passenger on board.

Chapters alternate between the events of that one deadly day — perceived through various passengers — and the grieving and growing process of that single survivor.

Perhaps you too have read such a book that mixes different timelines and perspectives and would like to write one yourself.

In that case, Natalie Lund — who, like Napolitano, has built a book around a plane crash — has advice and experiences to share with you.

Her post at Writer’s Digest shares why and how she wrote a novel with multiple timelines and points of view.
