Days before the auction even begins, a handwritten copy of a Robert Frost poem has blown past bid estimates.

Literary Hub reports that experts believe Frost copied his famous poem “Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening” for a classroom visit in the 1940s or 1950s.

But even though it’s not the original — or even close, chronologically speaking — bids are currently at $12,500.

Early estimates were that it would fetch $8,000 to $10,000 at the April 28 auction.

Lion Heart Autographs, which is running the auction, has pictures of Frost’s copy of “Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening” for you to admire.
