While independent authors have much greater flexibility in when they release their books, there are still some seasonal patterns they may want to consider.

The Alliance of Independent Authors shares these reading patterns, but not as a hard-and-fast rule.

They also point out that writers should take their own seasonal energy flows into account and remember that no matter what release date they pick, they must (or should) have time before and after it for marketing purposes.
