Emily St. John Mandel fans have reason to celebrate this morning: her next novel has been announced.

Sea of Tranquility will come out April 19, according to Literary Hub; the book is a time-travel story partially set in space.

One of St. John Mandel’s previous novels — Station Eleven — foreshadowed the COVID-19 pandemic; this upcoming one, while not about a plague, is directly influenced by the author’s experiences living in New York City during such an outbreak.

You can read a bit more about Sea of Tranquility at Lit Hub.
