Yesterday was a red-carpet day in the world of book news.

The second trailer for the delayed adaptation of Frank Herbert’s Dune came out; you can watch it below to prepare yourself for the October 1 theatrical and home release.

Literary Hub alerted us to the news that the movie version of Haruki Murakami’s short story “Drive My Car” won Best Screenplay at Cannes

Drive My Car will hit Japanese theaters in August, but there’s still no word on its arrival in US ones.

Another film with festival credentials also lacks a theatrical release date: The Tragedy of Macbeth, starring Denzel Washington as the title character and Frances McDormand as his wife.

However, Lit Hub does know that the movie will open this year’s New York Film Festival on September 24.
