Even if you know you’re in the right, official letters from a big organization asking for proof or verification can be the stuff of nightmares.

The version of that nightmare specific to indie authors is learning that Amazon KDP wants proof of publishing rights to your books.

The Alliance of Independent Authors has advice on how to handle this situation, though, and the first — crucial — step is not to panic.
