Not to add another worry to anyone’s plate, but one more of the many important decisions that you must make as an indie author is which genre to list your book in.

Perhaps that decision seems obvious to you — and if so, that’s wonderful!

Amy Jones of Writer’s Digest has, however, seen a few cases in which a book’s contents didn’t meet up with genre expectations.

And, of course, the advantages of an extra sale or download are far outweighed by the risks of disappointed readers leaving a bad review and skipping your future books.
