The adage that everything comes back into style eventually may be a bit of an exaggeration.

But some trends do come back, and for good reason, even.

Anne R. Allen thinks that it's high time authors returned to the era of creative chapter titles (or at least ones with more pizzazz than basic numerals).

Her argument? That they serve as a valuable marketing tool and maybe even a useful planning one, to boot.
