Herman Melville may not have been appreciated in his lifetime, but it’ll cost you a pretty penny to rent the house where he once lived.

Well, okay, to be fair, the reason that this house is commanding such a high price — over $26,600 — is that it’s a massive one along the River Thames in London.

Specifically, it has five bedrooms and four bathrooms and measures 4,400 square feet.

Perhaps more interestingly to bookworms, though, is that Melville stayed there for a few weeks at the end of 1849, per English Heritage — and the exterior of the building boasts a blue plaque declaring such in his honor.

Pictures of the remodeled interior of 25 Craven Street in Charing Cross are available in the rental listing.
