We worried that describing round characters as "not the ones who just celebrated too many winter holidays" would be a dad joke.

But Dave Chesson beat us to that, in a way, by opening his discussion of round characters by clarifying that he's not referring to Humpty Dumpty or Tweedledee and Tweedledum.

So what are they? They're characters that your readers can identify with and root for, and who may or may not experience a growth arc.
