Award-winning children's author Steve Jenkins has died.
Jenkins passed away December 26 at the age of sixty-nine, according to the New York Times.
He was well-known for his artistic science books, like What Do You Do if You Work at the Zoo?, Eye to Eye: How Animals See the World, and What Do You Do With A Tail Like This?, for which he received the Caldecott Honor.
Jenkins had more than fifty books to his own credit and illustrated forty-plus books for other authors.
