When most of us think of the Brontë sisters, we probably don't think about high fashion and bright colors.

However, that's exactly what is now on display at their former home.

The Brontë Parsonage Museum just opened an exhibit, to last until January 2023, that spotlights Charlotte Brontë's colorful wardrobe.

One of the star items is a bright pink wrapper — not exactly a negligee, but still something to only be worn in the intimacy of one's own home — that a co-curator describes as "hideous" and "absolutely the opposite of anything you would ever associate with" Brontë.

Fortunately, the Guardian has a photo of this wrapper along with descriptions of other noteworthy items so that you can enjoy them from any location.
