Missouri and Tennessee have joined the ranks of states that are considering bills to help libraries with e-lending license terms.

Publishers Weekly reports that Missouri's legislation would require that publishers extend ebook license offers to libraries on "reasonably similar terms as those offered to the public."

In Tennessee, the phrasing is simply "reasonable" terms.

PW previously reported that Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Illinois are working on library ebook license bills as well.

The Illinois version recently left committee and is headed to the General Assembly, despite opposition from the Association of American Publishers.
