Roxane Gay Books, the eight-month-old imprint named after the author and social commentator who also leads it, has announced its first three titles.
And Then He Sang a Lullaby, by Ani Kayode Somtochukwu, comes out June 2023, followed by J.V. Lyon’s Lush Lives in August 2023 and Lindsay Hunter’s Hot Springs Drive in November 2023.
The books are, respectively, a love story, literary romance, and a thriller — a variety that Gay said reflects her own "eclectic taste in reading" and that includes what she most needs fiction to be — "intelligent and entertaining."
