Two indie publishers in the United Kingdom are working to make a small positive change in the lives of Ukrainian children.

The BBC reports that Little Toller Books and Bluemoose Books have sent thousands of backpacks containing books, toys, hats, scarves, and letters from British children to the Ukrainian-Romanian border.

A fundraising campaign brought in £80,000 (over $100,000) in three weeks for the Packed With Hope initiative.
