Here's yet another event that aims to raise awareness of book bans — and improve everyone's access to reading material.

A church in Kingston, New York, is hosting a banned books fair July 2.

The event, according to the Daily Freeman, isn't just to sell banned books, though of course that's part of it.

It also includes a banned book swap and readings from banned books, including one performed by a drag queen.

Rob Sweeney, pastor of the Old Dutch Church (which is hosting the event), noted that the Bible has often been in the list of the top ten banned books, in explaining the value of such an event.
