Bookworms have long shown a love of ink.

And this past weekend, they had a chance to show it in multiple ways at a Maryland library.

Anne Arundel County Public Library hosted its first-ever tattoo fundraiser last Saturday.

WMAR-2, a Baltimore news station, reports that tattoo shop Lucky Bird offered patrons a variety of literary-themed tattoos.

The skin art cost from $100 to $600, with 40 percent of proceeds going back to support the library system.
