Mark Haddon has joined the ranks of authors showing public — and financial — support for abortion rights.

The author of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time announced on social media that all his future royalties from US sales would be donated to the National Network of Abortion Funds.

And since the next royalty payment won't be for a while, Haddon has made a $10,000 donation right off the bat.

If, as is widely feared, the US Supreme Court overturns other rights, such as the right for same-sex couples to get married, Haddon says he may donate royalties to help those negatively affected, too.
