News of two authors' deaths came over the weekend.
Stuart Woods, a prolific and bestselling thriller author, died at age eighty-four.
He was best known for his works starring Stone Barrington, Ed Eagle, William Henry Lee IV, Holly Barker, and Rick Barron — according to his website, seventy of his seventy-five-plus books were bestsellers.
He also wrote a travel book and recently published a memoir; you can read more highlights from his life in that but also in the New York Times' obituary.
Also passing away: children's author Charlotte Pomerantz, who died at age ninety-two.
Her thirty-five books included The Piggy in the Puddle, The Day They Parachuted Cats on Borneo, How Many Trucks Can A Tow Truck Tow?, and Halfway to Your House.
Read more about Pomerantz's life and career in the New York Times.
