The US Department of Justice has prevailed — at least this time — in its antitrust suit against two large publishers.

The Associated Press reports that a federal judge blocked Penguin Random House’s proposed purchase of Simon & Schuster on Monday.

PRH said in a statement Monday that it would seek an expedited appeal of the ruling.
