Author Tess Gunty took home multiple literary awards this year.

So, unsurprisingly, the novel that brought her such acclaim has been optioned for the screen.

Deadline reports that the same producer who worked on American Gods has acquired the rights for The Rabbit Hutch.

The Rabbit Hutch focuses on an apartment building (from where it takes its title) in a dying Rust Belt town, in which one unit houses four teenagers who have aged out of foster care.
