Novelist Martin Amis has died

Martin Amis, the son of a famous writer who himself became a famous novelist, has died at the age of seventy-three.

Amis published fifteen novels, plus a memoir, short stories, screenplays, and nonfiction.

Among his best-known books were Money, The Information, London Fields, and The Zone of Interest; the film adaptation of the latter just premiered at the Cannes Film Festival on Friday, notes NPR.

Members of the literary world are, unsurprisingly, praising Amis's contributions over the past half-century, calling him one of Britain's most important modern authors.
