The UK publisher of House of Earth and Blood has acknowledged that it unwittingly used AI-generated art on the paperback's cover.

The Guardian reports that Bloomsbury had credited the image — a drawing of a wolf — to Adobe Stock, but that the Verge recognized it as one that the creator marked as AI-generated.

It doesn't seem to be on the US covers, though.

House of Earth and Blood is the first book in fantasy author Sarah J. Maas's Crescent City series.

You can read more about the recent instances of AI art in the literary world in the Guardian.
