Several posts about copyright issues popped up in our RSS feeder last week.
Two of them came from the Alliance of Independent Authors, whose weekly news roundup included Twitter being sued for failing to enforce copyright violation notices and what fanfic writers' trolling of AI reveals about the technology's copyright shortcoming.
And that wasn't it — the weekly news podcast dedicated a segment to how governments are responding to AI and copyright.
Finally, Victoria Strauss of Writer Beware shared her experience successfully defending against copyright trolls, in a guest post for Writer Unboxed.
The most important defense is, of course, a good offense; she reminds all authors to be diligent about following licensing rules and keeping proofs of purchase.
