Dan Holloway, the news editor for the Alliance of Independent Authors, noted a "satisfying symmetry" to his weekly business news roundup.

One update is on Jane Friedman's battle with Amazon over books that appear to be written by AI but credited to her; another is on a proposed settlement between the Internet Archive and Association of American Publishers; and the final one is on a website pulled down after accusations that it used others' creative work to train AI, without the creators' consent.

So, in other words, the items are about AI, copyright, and then both AI and copyright.

Head to the ALLi blog for these stories and a link to the latest episode of the ALLi self-publishing news podcast, too.
