It can be hard to keep on top of all the blogs and news sources that aim to help writers.

Here are two posts from the Alliance of Independent Authors that authors might find valuable — but also might've missed earlier.

  • Big tech's AI lawsuits: Dan Holloway shares news that some major publishers may have failed to to properly register their authors' works, leaving them outside of the class-action lawsuit against Anthropic, and that Apple is also facing a piracy lawsuit over its large language model.

  • Updating, rebranding, and managing your books: Anna Featherstone interviews author Catherine Bilson, who writes in multiple genres across four pen names, with more than sixty books published — and many of them translated — about the best practices of managing publicity for all of these works.
