  • Two-time National Book Award winner Jasmyn Ward will release a work of nonfiction May 19; On Witness and Respair: Essays contains both new and previously released material (Kirkus Reviews).

  • Patricia Cornwell will share her journey from traumatized, neglected child to police reporter, forensic expert, and then bestselling author in a memoir; True Crime comes out May 5 (People).

  • Palestinian political leader Marwan Barghouti, who has been imprisoned in Israel since 2002, will publish a collection of writings titled Unbroken: In Pursuit of Freedom for Palestine; the book comes out, at least in the United Kingdom, on November 5 (The Guardian).

  • For the first time in almost a year, author Neil Gaiman has addressed the multiple sexual assault allegations against him, calling them "simply untrue" and part of a "smear campaign" against him (The Guardian).
