  • Margo's Got Money Troubles by Rufi Thorpe has been awarded the L.D. and LaVerne Harrell Clark Fiction Prize (Literary Hub).

  • The longlist for the 2026 Women's Prize for Fiction has been announced; the judging panel, chaired by former Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard, will choose a shortlist to be revealed April 22 and a winner to be announced June 11 (The Guardian).

  • George RR Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire books are coming to the big screen, with a movie based on King Aegon Targaryen’s conquest of Westeros being developed (The Guardian).

  • An artist copied out the entirety of Herman Melville's Moby-Dick on onionskin paper with a nib pen; you can see part of it at MCA Denver starting tomorrow (The New York Times).

  • According to Circana BookScan data, book sales are slightly better than stable, which is excellent news considering the overall grim consumer conditions (Literary Hub).
