Martin's "The Ice Dragon" to become movie

George R.R. Martin's 1980 fantasy novella The Ice Dragon will become an animated film.

The story is about a young girl who befriends a rare Ice Dragon as her home is invaded by an army of dragons. The novella was written before Martin published his hugely popular "Game of Thrones" series of books.
