Stuff You Missed in History Class: Ambrose Bierce

One of our favorite podcasts, Stuff You Missed in History Class, recently updated its episode on writer Ambrose Bierce.

If you’re like us, you remembered reading "An Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge” in high school English class and not much else about Bierce.

But thanks to SYMHC hosts Tracy V. Wilson and Holly Frey, we realized how much more there was to him — including his extensive Civil War service.

It seemed appropriate to share this podcast on Memorial Day, as a way to honor just one of the countless men and women who have served our country.
