Today is Global Running Day, and we’re celebrating it in a more sedentary way (blame a 20-kilometer race last weekend): with recommended reading!

Runner’s World magazine — itself a great place for runners who read — had a mix of fiction and nonfiction on its holiday gift guide last season.

Very Well Fit has a list of motivational reads, many (but not all) of them classics.

Naturally, there’s an Amazon bestseller page for books on running and jogging as well.

If you’re still needing material, there’s Run to the Finish’s list of the fifty best books on motivation, training, and nutrition.
