Many of us have been there — saying a word or phrase we thought everyone knew, and receiving a blank stare in response from someone who didn’t grow up where you did.

The Oxford English Dictionary wants to know which words and expressions elicit that reaction!

You can submit examples of what baffled someone in the next state, time zone, or continent on the OED’s website.
