Author Kristin Hannah on "The Great Alone"

Author Kristin Hannah followed up her smash hit The Nightingale with The Great Alone, which also made quite a splash.

Among the many enthusiastic responses to The Great Alone was Amazon’s selecting it as one of its top ten best books in the first half of 2018.

The novel sends a former POW, his wife, and their daughter to Alaska in hopes that a new beginning will heal old wounds.

Winter, of course, changes everything for the dramatic.
