When college student Christine Riccio uploaded a video review of The Hunger Games to YouTube, she doubted many people would watch it.

She — and many other so-called BookTubers, or video bloggers who review literature — was very, very wrong.

Though compared with other YouTube stars, their followings are numerically small, they are most certainly mighty.

The New York Times, in a piece on BookTubers, found that the engagement on their videos is considerable ... and that publishing houses have taken notice as well.
