Music lovers have another new release to enjoy, though from a different genre.

Nate Chinen's new book, Playing Changes: Jazz for the New Century, examines the resurgence of jazz in recent years and the various musicians who have been anointed as its saviors.

Chinen, who is also a critic for NPR Music and WBGO, went on the other side of the microphone to discuss his book with Morning Edition.

You can listen to his interview below or read the piece on NPR’s website.
