It’s easy to pity Lisa Brennan-Jobs, the first — and seemingly forgotten — child of Apple co-founder Steve Jobs.

But as she sat down to write a memoir, Brennan-Jobs realized that self-pity didn’t play well on the page.

(Perhaps we should try that for the daily woes we like to complain about.)

Brennan-Jobs solved her tone problem and produced that memoir, Small Fry, which she discussed on Morning Edition late last week.
