In news that should not surprise anyone, applications have poured in for the bookseller position in the Maldives.
“It’s been a bit like standing under a fire hydrant for the last week – we’ve had an extraordinary response,” Philip Blackwell, who posted the job, told The Guardian.
Applicants come in forty different, range in age from eighteen to over eighty, and currently hold jobs in fields such as banking, biology, poetry ... and the White House press team, Blackwell said.
He and his team are working to make a hire sometime this month for the job whose view is below.
